A Fortune 200 off-price retailer with over $20B in revenue and an active footprint of 2,100+ locations is seeking a Director / Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing - Store Operations to drive cost optimization, category strategy, and vendor risk management across physical store networks. Operating initially as a hands-on individual contributor embedded in Store Operations, this leader will oversee strategic sourcing events supporting annual expansion of ~100 new store locations.

Key Responsibilities

Category Ownership: Drive end-to-end strategic sourcing and category management across $100M+ in indirect spend covering store fixtures, signage, janitorial, and facilities operational services.

Expansion Execution: Secure materials, fixtures, and services to support rapid physical expansion (~100 new store openings per year across a 2,100+ store footprint) while preventing cost overruns or supply delays.

Hands-On Sourcing: Conduct baseline financial modeling, clean-sheet cost analyses, and directly write and lead end-to-end RFx processes (RFP/RFQ/RFI) as an individual contributor.

Vendor Performance & TCO: Implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles across domestic and direct-import suppliers. Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

Risk Mitigation: Guide cross-functional stakeholders through supply chain turbulence, tariff fluctuations, freight disruptions, and supplier disputes.
Candidate Qualifications

Experience: 7–10+ years (Director) or 10–15+ years (Senior Director) of strategic sourcing and contract negotiation experience.

Industry Background: Primary experience in off-price retail, traditional brick-and-mortar retail, multi-unit retail, or commercial services with significant physical store footprint operations.

Category Expertise: Direct background sourcing store fixtures, signage, janitorial, or facilities operational services.

Operating Style: Low-ego, grounded leader who thrives in a lean environment, willing to build baseline models and run field tests directly.

Tenure: Demonstrated career stability (<3 organizational changes in 10 years preferred).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or related field required (MBA preferred).
Target Compensation & Total Rewards

Base Salary Range: $115,200 – $216,600 (Director level) | Up to $260,000 (Senior Director level) based on seniority and experience

Annual Bonus: 29% annual bonus target (historically paying 126%–140% based on personal and enterprise performance)
