Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Regional Services Manager to lead and optimize our commercial freight truck service centers across the [Insert Region] region. In this role, you will oversee multi-site operations, ensuring that our service centers deliver industry-leading maintenance, repair, and customer service for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Your primary focus will be maximizing operational efficiency, driving profitability, ensuring strict safety and regulatory compliance, and mentoring a high-performing team of branch managers, service advisors, and technicians. Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Efficiency

Multi-Site Oversight: Provide strategic direction and daily operational oversight to all commercial truck service centers within the designated region.

Performance Metrics: Establish, monitor, and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) including bay utilization, technician productivity, turn-around times (TAT), and first-time fix rates.

Process Improvement: Implement standardized service processes and best practices across all locations to improve workflow efficiency and minimize fleet downtime.
2. Financial & P&L Management

Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual operating budget and capital expenditures for the region.

P&L Responsibility: Analyze regional profit and loss (P&L) statements, drive revenue growth, manage labor costs, and optimize inventory/parts management to maximize profitability.
3. Team Development & Culture

Leadership & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and mentor Service Center Managers and leadership staff.

Workforce Planning: Address the industry-wide technician shortage by implementing effective recruitment, retention, and apprenticeship programs.

Training Programs: Ensure all technicians receive continuous training on the latest heavy-duty truck technologies, diagnostics, and OEM standards.
4. Safety, Compliance & Quality Control

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities strictly adhere to DOT, OSHA, EPA, and local environmental and safety regulations.

Safety Culture: Champion a "safety-first" culture across all shops, minimizing workplace incidents and managing workers' compensation claims effectively.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of service centers to maintain high standards of shop cleanliness, tool calibration, and repair quality.
5. Customer & Fleet Relations

Key Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with major freight fleets, owner-operators, and commercial accounts within the region.

Escalation Resolution: Act as the senior point of contact for complex customer service issues, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:

Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience managing multi-site commercial truck service centers, heavy equipment repair shops, or large-scale fleet maintenance operations.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Class 7 and Class 8 commercial freight trucks, diesel engines, preventative maintenance (PM) scheduling, and diagnostics.

Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing a multi-million dollar P&L, budgeting, and cost-control strategies.

Leadership: Strong track record of leading distributed teams, developing talent, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Regulations: Thorough knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations specific to commercial vehicle repair.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Automotive Technology, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
