POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated, early-career professional to join the Operations Department as an Associate Data
Analyst. This role focuses on supporting internal and external business intelligence and analytics efforts that inform
high-level strategic sourcing and member engagement decisions.
Operating under the clear guidance and professional mentorship of senior analysts, the Associate Data Analyst will
build a comprehensive, foundational career in analytics. The candidate will touch a wide spectrum of analytical
workflows, from initial raw data ingestion and quality governance to advanced visualization development, ensuring
that data products are accurate, relevant, and actionable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Collection & Cleansing: Gather, organize, and cleanse large datasets extracted from internal
transactional databases and external financial or procurement repositories. Execute routine data validation
checks to systematically identify outliers, anomalies, or missing data points.
Sourcing & Operational Analytics: Participate directly in quantitative analytics initiatives, including corporate
spend analyses, cost baseline calculations, supplier utilization reports, pricing reviews, and specialized
operational spend assessments.

Dashboard Support & Maintenance: Help maintain, enhance, and update standardized business intelligence
dashboards and reporting products within the organization's central Tableau environment, utilizing certified data
sources.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with professionals across internal departments (including
Sourcing, Finance, and Member Engagement) to clarify data specifications and deliver accurate, well-structured
data extracts.
Ad-Hoc Business Intelligence: Respond quickly to ad-hoc internal requests for targeted data extracts, data
summaries, or visual charting from organizational leadership and business stakeholders.
Professional Development: Actively engage in technical training programs and individual mentorship sessions.
Proactively seek and incorporate constructive performance feedback to refine technical capabilities and prepare
for advancement.

REQUIRED PROFILE & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics,
Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Operations/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or
Engineering) or an equivalent blend of education and practical experience.
Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience handling data analysis, foundational reporting, or business

intelligence tasks. This can be fully satisfied via full-time employment, structured internships, undergraduate co-
ops, or substantial academic capstone projects.

Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills: Absolute practical proficiency with advanced formulas, data sorting,
structuring, pivot tables, and data validation routines (e.g., VLOOKUP, index/match functions). Must be ready to
demonstrate these skills practically.
Database & Scripting Exposure: Foundational working knowledge or direct familiarity with SQL for database
querying and Python (or R) for baseline data manipulation and automation scripts.
Data Visualization: Conceptual or practical exposure to modern business intelligence tools (such as Tableau or
Power BI) with an ability to create basic reports or modify visual charts.

KEY CULTURAL TRAITS & INTANGIBLES
Intrinsic Curiosity: A genuine passion for exploring where the numbers lead, asking structural questions, and
continuously mastering new software tools or analytical techniques.
Proactive Ownership: A strong sense of personal accountability and responsibility. Able to operate reliably with
a remote manager, verify the production-readiness of one's own data, and drive tasks to successful completion.
Excellent Communication: Confident verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for clearly
documenting workflows and explaining technical data findings to cross-functional business stakeholders.
Possesses the long-term potential to step into member-facing or client-facing environments.
Culture & Compensation Highlights:
Highly competitive base salary complemented by flexible scheduling options outside of core operational
coverage hours.
Exceptional corporate retirement benefit featuring an automatic, 7.5% non-elective employer
contribution directly into your 401(k) plan, completely independent of your personal deferrals.
Generous work-life initiatives, including an annual summer schedule benefit of half-day Fridays.

A deeply supportive growth culture that values innovative thinking and actively treats failures from bold
ideas as constructive learning milestones.
